Anyone for Tennis?
A number of LTA indoor tennis centres (ITCs) are now running subsidised coaching sessions for people with disabilities.
The registered charity, the British Tennis Foundation (BTF), helps to develop tennis opportunities for people with disabilities as well as for young people, schools and the community at large.
The BTF’s Equity and Child Protection policy, which includes vulnerable adults, is incorporated in the LTA’s policies.
Wheelchair tennis was first played in Great Britain in 1983. It is estimated that over 6,000 people now play the sport in more than 50 countries worldwide
